As a food and travel blogger, Jane worked from home often but was uninspired by her living and dining room. The objective was to transform the space into a stylish and motivating environment to support her growing career.
I started by rotating the sofa and relocated the television for a better flow throughout the space. A modular sofa, drop-leaf table and stackable chairs were chosen for flexibility in the room to accommodate any photo shoots or hosting events for Jane’s blog. I chose natural and golden tones to complement the wood flooring, textured accents to add warmth and comfort, and plants for a touch of life. The overall style provided the backdrop that Jane was looking for.
In this town house in Vancouver, WA, the homeowner, Enshane, had dreams of becoming an accomplished author and spiritual counselor. The goal was to convert her loft space from a chaotic and cluttered catch-all into an organized and inspiring sanctuary.
By choosing cool colors and natural materials, it set a calm and soothing atmosphere for Enshane to work in. The addition of smart lighting throughout the room allowed her to tailor the light level whether meeting with clients in the seating area or writing at her desk. I used a mix of open and closed storage for her to hide away files but display books and items she had collected from her travels. These elements added to the style and mood Enshane was seeking.
With three children to care for and busy everyday lives, Adri and Matt’s bedroom was disorganized and overflowing with clothes. The goal was to get their bedroom storage in check to create the bedroom oasis they longed for.
I customized a wardrobe dedicated to Matt’s belongings. Complete with hanging, drawer and shoe storage and a space for belts, ties and other small items, all of his needs were accounted for. The walk-in closet got an overhaul to better organize Adri’s hanging clothes, shoes, accessories and out of season items. I used storage systems that had adjustable shelves and flexible options to fit her current wardrobe and as it grows over time. The remainder of her clothes were stored in the dresser in the bedroom. With all of their items now organized, they can enjoy their cozy seating area to unwind after a long day.
Daisy is a lifestyle blogger who wanted her home office to serve as the backdrop for her beauty videos. The target was to create a floor plan that provided dedicated spaces for working and filming, ample storage for equipment, and a stylish look that matched Daisy’s personality.
With triplets on the way, Justin and Adam wanted to make sure that their home was ready for when the babies arrived. Their dream was to have a nursery that was warm and welcoming with plenty of storage.
I positioned the three cribs along the walls, leaving open floor space in the middle for room to play. The changing table was stocked with the essentials on the shelving below and I added shelving above for easy access to soft toys. I outfitted the closet with an adjustable storage system that could be updated as the babies grow and placed a soft armchair nearby for feedings. With sweet and playful touches along the way, this nursery was everything Justin and Adam dreamed of.
The outdoor patio of this California home had great potential for Phil and his children, Kyle and Keriann. The aim was to create an outdoor oasis where they could connect and enjoy time as a family.
The length of the space supported having zones for different activities. I chose options from a furniture family for a coordinated style, supplementing with other pieces that complemented the look. The variety of seating options accommodated sun bathing, dining and lounging. I provided umbrellas for shade during the day and solar-powered lights to illuminate the space at night. Whether reading a book on the sofa or hosting a BBQ with family and friends, the patio became an extension of their home.
After moving to a new office, the team at Oh Joy! needed a craft room to house all of their project supplies in an efficient and organized way. With a mix of open and closed storage and portable storage containers, items were now easy to find and could be transported to where they were needed to work.
Tiphanny and Jonathan were newlyweds with a baby on the way when they decided it was time to tackle the living room of their small home. With outdated furniture and limited storage space, they needed an updated look to welcome guests into their home.
I switched out their oversized sofa for a streamlined one that converted into a full-sized bed with built in storage. By mounting the TV unit on the wall, I placed three footstools underneath that could be tucked away when not in use but convenient to use as extra seating when entertaining guests. I opted for a majority of closed storage cabinets to keep their items organized and out of sight. With modern lines and a neutral color palette, Tiphanny and Jonathan felt confident to have friends and family over to their home.
The bedroom closet of Maggie Winterfeldt, home editor for Popsugar, had exceeded its limit. To store the collection Maggie had acquired, I designed a custom wardrobe that provided storage solutions for hanging and folded clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories. I added high gloss sliding doors and interior lighting to create a high-end look to showcase the items inside.
As an interior designer in a retail setting, I was responsible for using my home furnishing competence to ensure the Showroom room settings represented a variety of styles, price levels and living situations for core areas of the home. Projects ranged from planning and implementing individual rooms to complete remodeling of departments.
For the national kitchens department remodel, I planned the floor layout and room settings for my store location . I adapted the central country plans to the store’s dimensions while ensuring priority products, a mix of shapes, styles and sizes of kitchens, and a continuous flow through the department.

Accompanying each makeover video were photos assets posted on IKEA USA’s social channels. I was responsible for choosing and editing photos best fit for each platform communicating the essence of the video. I compiled eye catching imagery that showed a range of function and price, and wrote copy to support the theme.
